Breeding philosophy

Our aim is to breed a select number of sporthorses who have the athletic ability to fulfill their owner's dreams, and temperaments to make achieving those dreams a joyful journey.

Our youngsters are bred only from proven riding mares with bloodlines supported by long-term success. We raise each foal as a keeper to give them the love, exposure, and important first education they will draw on for the rest of their lives. We strive to produce sound and sane horses that thrive in many programs.

2000 GRAND PRIX DRESSAGE STALLION LICENSED OLD-NA, ISR, RHINELAND-US, Westfalen, AND PHR

A Star-Sport Oldenburg Stallion by imported Elite AWS Holsteiner
stallion Lancaster, Landsong was the USEF National Champion for Dressage Sport Horse Breeding in 2011 and is currently in the top 10 Nationally for the USEF Performance Horse Awards at FEI Grand Prix.

Landsong produces winners in Inspections, Dressage Sport Horse Breeding, Future Event Horse, Young Event Horse, Hunter In Hand, Hunter Under Saddle & Over Fences. We hear over and over that even though foals are true athletes, they are all kind, very uncomplicated to start, and have superb personalities- just like their sire!
More Information

Delaney PF
Donarweiss x Ianthe GGF

2008 16.1h Black zwei. Mare
Hanoverian and Rhineland studbook Approved
*A 2018 Non-Hanoverian Top scoring inspected mare*

Powerful, highly trainable, and modern. Delaney was preparing for the FEI Six Year Old Test before she was heartbreakingly retired following a freak accident. With scores to 74.7% at her first dressage shows as a 5 year old, she loved her job and was very good at it! She shows amazing aptitude for extended and collected gaits, and impressed with her striking work ethic. She is very light to the leg, in front of the aids, but soft in the contact. A sensitive but thoughtful horse, she was admired by many professionals as a horse with an FEI future.
Although bred for dressage, Delaney's sire and grand sire are well noted for their talent over fences. In 2018 she earned US Hanoverian Approval into the Main Mare Book. The judges made special note of her uphill neck and active, easily flexed hind legs, good type, and lovely character. You cannot find a sweeter mare, she gives the best hugs!

Stockbridge Sonnet U.M.
Schroeder X ALLESANDRA Q

2019 HANOVERIAN MARE

WPF is excited to welcome Stockbridge Sonnet U.M. by Grand Prix stallion Schroeder (Sandro Hit- Escudo I) out of Elite candidate mare Allesandra Q (Anhaltiner E Akzent II/Pik Bube I- x SPS Pik Dame-Pik Koenig) to our future breeding and training program. We have been searching for Anhaltiner/Escudo/Pik bloodlines to cross with Landsong for some time and she just happened to have all of them. This filly has both size and athleticism. Her sire, Schroeder, is a superior FEI Grand Prix dressage stallion with super character (rated 9), powerful movement, and excellent jumping ability as well. Her dam has produced several promising sporthorses that are under saddle. Thank you Jillianne Smith at UMASS Amherst for all your help!

Luscious wpf
Landsong x Delaney PF

2017 RHINELAND Stallion CANDIDATE

By Landsong out of Delaney PF, a long-awaited addition by our two favorite horses, this colt is an exciting prospect for future competition and breeding. Even at a young age he is often mistaken for his sire on first glance. He scertently inherited his parent's trainability and stellar character- and he seems to have been an improvement on both his sire and dam's conformation and gatis- what every breeder dreams of! Lou will be presented at the 2018 Hanoverian Inspection at UMass and competed in-hand at breed shows until he is ready to start.
